Coach Tours are not what they used to be. And we can prove it. Here’s just a quick snap- shot of the people we had on our tours this week:
Game of Thrones fans from London
Well we say London but it’s actually via Paris and L.A. Mum is a keen traveller; having lived in Paris for a number of years moved to London with her economist husband. Despite this quick visit to Scotland, she is planning a longer trip with her husband later in the year when one of our 3 day tours might suit the itinerary.
Based in LA, Daughter is a screen writer on a US series for teens called Reign. It features Mary Queen of Scots so her day tour could have been a research trip.
Both are huge Game of Thrones fans so Doune Castle was a highlight.
Group of exchange students
Without access to a car and unwilling to bike around Scotland’s mountainous North, these students decided a coach tour was the best option. They are studying geography so while they enjoyed their history lesson, it was the ancient rocks of Glencoe that really got their blood pumping. Most important however was the fact they could drink wine at lunch. You know what students are like!
Honeymooners
Most people who visit Scotland see the romance in the landscapes, scenery and history. These honeymooners had just been married at the Grosvenor Hotel in Glasgow and wanted to know more about the destination of their dreams. They certainly were not disappointed. Some dramatic honeymoon photos on the banks of Loch Ness and a relaxing day without the worry and stress of driving should ensure many happy memories. #scotspirit
