Why Go By Coach?

More accurately, why go by a Discover Scotland Tours mini coach?

As we’ve said before in this blog, we are very nice, keep smiles on our faces and love doing what we do. But what are the practical reasons for choosing to tour Scotland with us?

It’s stress free. Scotland has a modern road network but it’s certainly not all three-lane motorway. Some of our roads wind around the beautiful Lochs and Mountains that make our great little country so special. Some are single track and require an experienced head to negotiate safely. And some are well off the beaten track – easy to miss if you’re concentrating on the driving.

It’s green. Not new, coaches have been around for a long time, but green from an environmental perspective. Going by coach keeps emissions to a minimum and reduces your carbon footprint.

It’s safe. Our drivers are highly trained and have years’ of experience. Additionally, they know the roads extremely well and are in charge of modern mini coaches with the latest safety features.

It’s cost effective. Often cheaper than taking a train or hiring a car, you’re sharing the cost with your fellow passengers.

It’s sociable. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people. We find many of guests meet each other on the coach in the morning and are lunching together that same afternoon. And don’t worry if you want to be alone – we’ll leave you to experience Scotland your way.

It’s changing. There’s no typical coach tourist anymore. From students to retired travellers, we cater for a huge cross-section of the population. And we love it.

It’s educational.  Our driver-guides are all passionate about Scotland and love to share that passion and knowledge with our guests. Scotland has a long and rich history so some key facts and fictions will help you enjoy your Discover Scotland Tours experience even more.

Take a look at our tours here and enjoy the only way to discover Scotland.
