Just 40 minutes from Glasgow and we reach our first stop of the day. Here we'll enjoy morning refreshments on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond with some wonderful views looking over to Ben Lomond.

As we travel through Rannoch Moor towards Glencoe, your driver-guide will point out Buachaille Etive Mor, this is where 007 and M drove to reach ‘Skyfall’. This area was also used in many scenes from the Harry Potter films and you’ll have time here to savour the stunning scenery of Scotland’s most famous glen.

From Fort William we’ll travel the ‘Road to the Isles', to Mallaig, one of Scotland’s most scenic routes. This takes us past Loch Eilt another ‘Harry Potter’ location where Hagrid was seen skimming stones across the water. Nearby, you’ll see Eilean na Moine which is the final resting place of Dumbledore.

Reaching the Silver Sands of Morar you’ll think you’re in the Caribbean. Take a short stroll along the glistening sand with its turquoise waters looking over to the small isles.

At Mallaig we’ll have time to explore this beautiful little fishing port whilst enjoying some local fish and chips.

For many the highlight of the journey is Glenfinnan, and we schedule our arrival here to see the Jacobite Steam Train cross the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct as seen in the Harry Potter movies.

On one side you have views of the Glenfinnan Viaduct curving through the glen in a scene immortalised as the route to Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. On the other side you have stunning views of the Glenfinnan Monument standing at the head of Loch Shiel.

Loch Shiel (the ’Black Lake’) was also used in many Harry Potter films such as The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Half-Blood Prince. It was also used in a scene from the Triwizard Tournament in The Goblet of Fire.

Our last stop is at the Drovers Inn, a traditional Scottish pub and historic resting point for weary travellers of old. Enjoy an evening refreshment in front of a roaring log fire once enjoyed by the infamous outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor.

Please Note:
* The Jacobite Steam Train doesn't operate from 30th Oct 2021 until 4th April 2022. You will still be able see the Glenfinnan Viaduct & visit Glenfinnan Monument during this period.

I wanted to give feedback on our tour on Wednesday April 20, 2022.  Our tour guide was John.  He was fantastic.  He was full of facts and information.  The scenic points were well planned out.  He let us take as much time as we wanted with giving us an allowable time to explore and take pictures.  The sites were fantastic.  We made it to the viaduct with plenty of time to find a good viewing spot.  We did get to miss out on Drover's Inn but that's ok.  He got us back at an acceptable time.  Your company found themselves a great tour guide.  If we ever find ourselves back in Scotland, we would love to try the 3 day Isle of Skye tour that John was talking about. We will definitely recommend your company to friends and family.  The bus was also comfortable and clean.

18/04/22 – Eveline

Honestly....everything was just awesome. The small group size made me not feel like part of a tourist heard but more like a group of friends on a road trip. My tour leader was Colin and he was an absolute doll and so much craic, I loved how he also made the driving parts worthwhile with the stories, the music... Those myths, stories and history actually got to me, which really set me in the mood for my time in the highlands, making my whole 3 days there so much more immersive and worthwhile, I'm so grateful for that.

17/04/22 – Michael

I greatly enjoyed the Mallaig trip on the 17th of April just the right amount of stops and time to wander also the driver guide Colin was outstanding very informative entertaining and knowledgeable and also accommodating to all his passengers needs once again a lovely trip and as this is my second trip with discover Scotland I have no doubts about booking again in future Thanks to you as a company and a special thanks to Colin.

27/01/22 - Neena

I had a lovely experience, John was our guide and he went above and beyond. Very easy going and bright smiles to really show how proud he is of his land. This tour actually made me realise how much I want to come back and live in the highlands. So, it was exceptional to say the least. It was absolutely astounding I loved every bit!

18/12/21 – Komal

The tour was a lot of fun even in the rain and wind. The scenery and locations speak for themselves but John our tour guide was lovely and provided some interesting facts the whole journey. He definitely was a highlight of the tour and gave us some local knowledge for when we venture on our own during our week stay. He went above and beyond. I was very impressed with the value for money and the overall experience. It was a long day but worth it! Thank you so much.

06/11/21 - Caitlin

I absolutely loved my experience with Discover Scotland to Mallaig via Glencoe and Glenfinnan. I don’t remember my tour guides name but he had an impressive moustache and played the bagpipes for us which was one of the highlights of the day. I never expected to love Scotland as much as I did and I will definitely be back, and this is largely down to this tour. While the weather was shoddy, I saw everything I wanted to and I loved hearing the stories of the clans from the driver. I really appreciated that the tour wasn’t over on the way back from Mallaig and that he continued to tell stories and do a couple of stops on the way back. So many similar tours just let the customers sleep etc on the way back and I liked that we got our moneys worth. I also loved that our guide played scottish music in the van as it really added to the overall experience. Thank you so much for this tour, I really did enjoy it.

29/10/21 - Razia

I really enjoyed the tour thank you 😊. From start to finish I cannot remember any bad moments at all, which is rare to experience. The tour leader was excellent, this day was the best day of my holiday to Scotland. If I come back to Scotland, I would book again with discover Scotland tours. I would want the same tour leader because he is such a good tour leader.

19/10/21 - Palmina

Everything worked very well without any complication. The mini buses are very comfortable, clean and safe. Our driver, John, was one the best drivers and he is very educated about history and geography. He is one the most friendly, patient and supportive tour guides I've ever seen and he was extremely on time and  charismatic. He gave us a chance to listen to traditional Scottish music which is one most beautiful music I’ve ever heard and I really enjoyed it. I would love to hear some even more Scottish music while travelling. I would like to say I had a lot of fun in a friendly environment from the time I got into the bus until the last second, everything was amazing and I am completely satisfied  with the trip.  I highly recommend your company and I believe everyone should try. Thank you very much for providing those unforgettable beautiful moments.

15/10/21 - Mathias
