The Old Man of Storr

Towering above the island’s rugged landscape, the Old Man of Storr is one of Skye’s most iconic landmarks. This jagged rock pinnacle stands like a sentinel over the Sound of Raasay, creating a surreal, otherworldly skyline. It’s a favourite for walkers and photographers alike, with panoramic views that make the short hike well worth the effort.

The Fairy Pools

Nestled at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountains, the Fairy Pools are crystal-clear cascades that tumble over dark rock into deep blue pools. These magical waterfalls seem straight out of a fantasy film and many visitors take the plunge into the chilly waters for a truly refreshing experience. The walk to the pools offers spectacular views of the surrounding glen, making it a must-visit.

Dunvegan Castle

As the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland, Dunvegan Castle is steeped in clan history and legend. Home to the MacLeod family for over 800 years, it houses treasures like the famous Fairy Flag, said to bring victory in battle. The castle’s location on a rocky outcrop by the sea is just as striking as its stories.

Quiraing

The Quiraing is a landslip on the eastern face of the Trotternish Ridge and one of the most dramatic landscapes in all of Scotland. With its strange rock formations, grassy plateaus, and twisting roads, it’s a photographer’s dream and a geologist’s playground. The area is shaped by ancient volcanic activity, creating scenery that feels almost prehistoric.

Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls

This spectacular coastal viewpoint features Kilt Rock, a cliff face said to resemble a pleated kilt, and Mealt Falls, which plunge directly into the sea below. It’s one of the few waterfalls in the UK that drops straight into the ocean, a perfect stop for soaking in Skye’s wild beauty.

Portree

The charming capital of Skye, Portree is a colourful harbour town and the ideal base for exploring the island. Browse local shops, enjoy fresh seafood, and take in views of fishing boats bobbing in the bay. It’s also where many of our tours stop overnight, allowing guests to experience Skye’s hospitality and culture up close.

Neist Point Lighthouse

Perched on the western edge of Skye, Neist Point offers unbeatable views of the Atlantic Ocean. A short walk leads you to the iconic lighthouse, and if you’re lucky, you might spot dolphins, whales, or sea eagles along the way. It’s an excellent spot for sunsets and dramatic coastal photography.
