Tours to Loch Ness
Without question the most famous stretch of water in the world is Loch Ness. Visiting this famous spot is certainly on many a visitor’s bucket list. Taking a Discover Scotland tour from Edinburgh or Glasgow is one of the best ways to see Loch Ness.
Loch Ness harbours many mysteries and we’ll help you unearth some of them, from its famous monster ‘Nessie’, to ruined Urquhart Castle that rises out of the mist on its shores. The loch forms part of Britain’s longest inland waterway, the 60-mile Caledonian Canal. It cuts through the Scottish Highlands from east to west at the spectacular Great Glen fault-line.
We have one day tours departing daily to Loch Ness from both Edinburgh & Glasgow. We visit the historic hamlet of Fort Augustus which lies at the southern tip of Loch Ness. As well as time for lunch you will also have the opportunity to take a cruise on Loch Ness.
Our three and four day tours to Skye, the Highlands and Loch Ness, from Edinburgh and Glasgow, call in at Fort Augustus too. There you can watch the boats navigating the pretty canal locks. Alternatively, you can jump aboard a ‘monster-spotting’ cruise to see if you can glimpse our elusive Loch Ness monster. This option is also available on our six day island hopping tours to Mull, Iona, Skye, the Highlands and Loch Ness from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Alternatively, you may choose to to reserve a bespoke private tour that includes a visit to Loch Ness. As our private tours personalised to the interest of each group they can visit other areas of the loch that our scheduled tours do not normally see. They can also participate in more adventurous activities such as a hike or RIB ride.
