Tour Itinerary

Luss

Your journey begins with a visit to the picturesque village of Luss, located on the famous bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Stroll along charming lanes lined with traditional cottages and admire views across the loch towards its wooded islands and distant mountains.

In the churchyard you’ll find an 11th-century Viking hogback stone, a fascinating reminder of Scotland’s Norse past.

Balloch

Next we travel to Balloch, the southern gateway to Loch Lomond. Here you’ll have the opportunity to join an optional one-hour cruise across the loch, often called the “Queen of Scottish Lochs”.

Relax on board while enjoying views of forested islands and surrounding mountains as commentary reveals the history and legends of the area.

Aberfoyle

We then stop for lunch in Aberfoyle, a welcoming village in the heart of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Choose from traditional pubs or cosy cafés while enjoying views of the surrounding hills.

Aberfoyle is also linked with Scottish folklore — it was home to Robert Kirk, the minister famous for writing about Scotland’s fairies.

The Trossachs Scenic Drive

Travelling through the dramatic landscapes of The Trossachs, often called the “Highlands in Miniature”, your driver-guide will share stories of Rob Roy MacGregor, Scotland’s most famous outlaw.

Keep your camera ready as we travel along the winding Duke’s Pass through rugged hills, forests and shimmering lochs.

Stirling Castle

Our final stop is Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most historically important strongholds. Perched on a volcanic crag, the castle dominates the surrounding landscape and played a key role in Scotland’s history.

Explore the Great Hall, Royal Palace and Chapel Royal, and stand where Mary, Queen of Scots was crowned. From the castle walls you can look out across the historic battlefields of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce.
